"Football is my life. I have learned many things over the years and continue to learn new things every day. I've always wanted my own Soccer School allowing me to both train and educate tomorrow's stars across the world but, for me, it was not just about putting my name to something. Terry Venables School of Soccer is about my philosophies, encompassing many things I've learned over the years and many ideas I have developed.

My mission statement is simple - modern training for the modern player. I have put together an international coaching team, providing an unrivaled blend of former players and world renowned coaches. Coaches, like parents, have a responsibility not only to maximize potential but to also promote future development and encourage good habits on and off the field. We have been working together to ensure that our formula is right and that my philosophies are carried out throughout all of my schools internationally."

About Terry Venables . . .

With a career that has spanned more than thirty five years, Terry Venables is one of the most famous names in world soccer. His experience crosses the boundaries of both player and coach and his enormous impact in soccer is recognized worldwide. Here are a few highlights of his brilliant career:

As a player... youngest ever first division captain when he joined Chelsea FC. the first English player to have won caps at all representative levels.

As a Coach in UK... took 3rd Division Crystal Palace to top of first Division. Won 2nd Division title and reached FA Cup Final with Queen Park Rangers. Led Tottenham Hotspurs to FA Cup title in 1991. Led England to the Euro '96 semi-finals

Worldwide ... won Spanish league at Barcelona, their first in 11 years, took them to European Cup final. Australian National Team Coach. Former Chairman of Portsmouth FC.

* Terry is currently coaching at Middleborough FC in the English Premier League. Since his arrival, the team has lost only once in the last twelve games, which culminated in Terry being named Carling Premier "Manager of the Month" for January 2001.     in association with

About the Director

Terry Foley is a former player from England who came to the United States in 1990. Since then, he has built a solid reputation as one of the best youth coaches in the country. In the last five years, his teams hav won numerous state cups and regional titles as well as numerous competitions nationwide.

In 1998, in recognition of Terry's coaching abilities, Terry Venables appointed him Director of Coaching for his worldwide Soccer School.

The year 2000 was a particularly good one for Terry. Both of his teams won Region 1 Championships, earning him a trip to Nationals and the VYSA (Virginia) Coach of the Year Award.

Terry has successfully directed numerous camps in the past. His commitment as Director of the Venables Soccer camp is to ensure that your child's needs as a soccer player are met and fulfilled.

Coaching:

A combination of both old and new practices from an experienced staff. The training is innovative and fun filled whatever your current level, it provides a positive atmosphere that leads to self-motivation and self-teaching, a necessity if you want to play at the highest level.

Skills:

Daily intensive skills sessions, drawing on a variety of game related situations will help you develop and master new techniques. We stress on individual and team skills as a foundation for advanced play.

Player Assessment:

A complete and comprehensive report on the capailities of individual strengths and weaknesses will be prepared for each player by their Coach.

IMPORTANT FACTS

Registration

Registration location and directions to the dorms will be sent to you prior tot he start of your camp. Player registration will be held each Sunday from 1-3 pm. Immediately after, parents and campers meet the Terry Venables Staff.

Key Deposit

All Boarding campers are required to pay a $25.00 key deposit at Registration on Sunday, which will be returned on Friday when keys are turned in.

Checkout

Camps end with morning games on the last day of each session. Checkout for all campers will take place in the dormitories after the games - usually between 12:30 and 1:30 pm.

Every camper receives 2 camp T-shirts and 2 Admiral camp shorts.

What to Bring

Enough clothing for the week, soccer shoes (cleated and indoors), lots of socks, twin bed sheets, blanket, pillow, towels, toilet accessories, shinguards are mandatory... We do not recommend new soccer shoes unless they ahve been broken-in, and expensive personal articles (jewelry...). Make sure your items have your name on them.

Medical Release

Each camper is required to have a medical release form on file at the camp. No camper will be allowed to participate without a medical release. The Terry Venables Soccer School provides secondary accidental / medical insurance.

Supervision

The staff resides in the dormitories with the campers, providing 24 hour supervision. A trainer is on hand at all times to insure that our campers receive medical attention whenever necessary.

Confirmation Package

Upon receipt of your application and deposit, a confirmation package will be sent to you.

Discounts

(only two per player - any combination -)
Send your deposit in by April 10th and receive a $15 discount
$15 for referring a friend who attends our camp
$25 Family discount (for families sending 2 or more kids to the same camp)

Terry Venables School of Soccer's approach and thinking behind its training program is innovative, crossing every boundary.

Our international coaching team members are leaders in their field, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge about the demands of the game, both technically and tactically. Working with you, they will provide intensive training tohelp you take your game to a higher, more proessional level. They will help the emerging soccer star build not only soccer skills, but game wisdom - teaching the strategies and game tactics that underly international excellence.
